Pet Sitter Columbia is dedicated to answering any questions are customers may have. We care for your pet just as we would care for our own dogs, cats, and small animals. We are the dog walker, dog sitter, and cat sitter of choice for Howard County Maryland - including Columbia, Ellicott City, Elkridge, Savage, Jessup, Clarksville, & Maple Lawn.                                                                 

Q. How do I sign-up for service?
A. Either visit the contact page and send us an e-mail or call us at 410-926-5179 for a complimentary consultation.

Q. What types of pets do you service?
A. We service most domestic pets. Our clients are primarily cats and dogs. However, we regularly care for small animals, reptiles, and most exotic animals.

Q. Do you charge extra to administer medication
A. There is no extra charge for administering medication. This is included in our standard price.

Q. How do you keep the key I provide you safe?
A. We attach a tag to the key with the pet's name. When not in use, the key is locked in a safe in our offices.

Q. Are you bonded and insured?
A. Yes, we are insured and bonded by Insurers of the Carolinas.

Q. Do pet sitters and dog walkers work on holidays?
A. Yes we work seven days a week 365 days a year.

Q. How long does each visit last?
A. We offer 30 and 60 minute visits. Each visit is customized to your pets needs and your directions to us.

Q. How many times a day should I have a pet sitter come?
A. It is best to have a minimum of two visits per day for dogs and at least one visit for day for cats and other small animals and exotics, but we can come to be with your pet as many times as you would like.

Q. Do pet sitters just take care of pets while people are out of town?
A. Our caring dog walkers and pet sitters are available while you are out of town, but are also available for mid day walks, while you are at work.

Q. Why should I use pet sitting services or dog walker instead of a dog boarding facility?
A. Your pet is more comfortable in familiar surroundings, plus we eliminate the trauma of travel for your pet, there is less disruption of their regular potty schedule, your pet will not be exposed to illnesses and diseases, and we keep your home safe and secure.

Q. Do you provide overnight care for my pets?
A. We offer overnight visits, during which we spend 12 hours in your home with your pets. During overnight stays, we give extra special attention to your pet, including long walks and significant playtime and cuddling. We can also add mid day dog walks.
